Granulomatous interstitial nephritis secondary to the use of the anti-TNF adalimumab
Abstract
We present the case of a 56-year-old patient, who presents with progressive deterioration in renal function, and in whom the renal biopsy reports granulomatous interstitial nephritis. The medical history was reviewed, and it was detected that the deterioration coincided with the start of the drug adalimumab. This drug was discontinued, and steroid plus cytostatic therapy began with improvement.
